using the button to publish direct from preview does not trigger the asynchronous publisher

test:

• run the async script from command line
• publish one object
• check that the async script outputs a "processing item" message
• open same object to edit
• modify anything, click preview
• publish using button at bottom of preview

• object is published, async script does not process it.
