The admin UI heavily utilises the REST API, which slows down significantly when running in dev mode. On average developers are not likely to need all the debug information for site developers. Disabling debugging by default for REST API calls can improve development experience significantly.

• Environment needs to be "dev", to have consistent cache storage with site dev
• Disabling logging with an env param for a path in Apache/Nginx can be a good method
