Steps:

1. Go to Page
2. Click Create and choose Landing Page
3. Choose "Three zones, two columns, narrow left, wide right in first row and one row" layout
4. Drag and drop banner block into first zone (up left corner) and configure it (I've put an image Media/Images/Visual travels)
5. Drag and drop gallery block to the second zone (up right corner) and configure it (choose Media/Gallery)
6. Click Publish
7. Click Page once again

Actual result:

Page view looks like in attachment - gallery covers banner. Edit mode looks fine.
