When you create a new transmation, based on an existing content, the ezdate field value does not keep the data from the existing content. It is set to the current date.

Steps to reproduce:

Create a new  content type and add a date fieldtype to it.

Edit the content in eng-GB and set the date to 1st of March for instance, and publish it

Create a new translation fre-FR version based on the eng-GB

You can see that all the fields are set based on the english version except for the date wich is set to the current date
