Steps to reproduce

1. Create a role so that she can edit or publish content. but for content/read policy set a subtree (you can select all visible ones)
2. Create a user and assign the user to the created role
3. Create content type with image assets field
4. log in with the created user and create draft content using the created content type
5. Try to select an image

Result

the content tree does not load and instead there is a loading icon, we also receive this message

Expected

a user with permissions to some subtrees should still be able to select an image from them
