I've something like this in a template:

The template is in utf8

The first line of the template is
{?template charset=utf-8?}

I am doing:
ezlupdate --utf8 -e extension/myextension ger-DE

The translation file is generated, but the umlaut (first character) is wrong in the source. It seems that the umlaut which is already in utf8 is converted again to utf8.

(I can't post it here because the bug tracker has also problems with umlauts)

I've tested it with umlaut O.
