If there is a global layout on trash, and another on the content tree, you may end up using the trashed one instead of the one that is on the content tree.

Steps to reproduce

Create a Global Layout, check it's id/node.

Delete it and place it on the trash.

Create another Global Layout and check it's id/node.

Activate the global layout insertion into the templates by loading the extra_info.tpl on the template structure of the pages.

If you are lucky, you get the correct global layout. If you aren't you get the one that is on the trash.

Things that are on the trash shouldn't be rendered at all, and a debug warning should be added to debug pane when that happens.
