PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted running composer install

    Description

      When running an installation of eZ Publish using the git repositories in the INSTALL.md file it's mentioned that you have to run 

      php composer.phar install --prefer-dist

      However this will generate the following error

      Loading composer repositories with package information
Installing dependencies (including require-dev)                          
PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 33554432 bytes) in phar:///var/www/apache2php53/ezp/composer.phar/src/Composer/DependencyResolver/Solver.php on line 170
