At this moment, eZ Publish feeds will carry along the author element along with an email, defined in "site.ini[MailSettings]\AdminEmail"

According to W3 Rss definition, the author element is optional.
Having it as mandatory in assigns the author to a wrong email, since the AdminEmail will be used; and might be unwanted by some customers.

It's important to allow the customer to choose to display or not that information in the feeds.
